Say I have two shots I like from one shoot. And I want to enter one of them in a week challenge, but the other one in the Free Study.

As soon as the voting for Free Study will start, people will probably recocgnize the shot as mine because of the challenge earlier on.

is that allowed?

as long as they are two different photos, it doesn't matter, however some voters vote the second down, but it would be a minority, particularly if the 2nd entry was the free study

People do it all the time - go for it.

well it's just because the free study would give me a little more editing freedom than the basic editing one of the shots is in now. Plus I like that shot better, but only with the editing (wich would be advanced)

so i was wondering if people would vote that down.

I didn't mark down the two from the same shoot for OPENING and CLOSING. If you can use a shoot for more than one, go for it.

How can you be in both OPENING and CLOSING. I thought they were exclusive.

you are welcome to submit different captures of the same image to more than one challenge. keep in mind, though, that many people do vote these down if they recognize a duplicate. they're not supposed to, but....

and there shouldn't have been duplicates in the opening and closing challenges because each photographer can only enter one or the other. feel free to send a help ticket if you think something's amiss.

it's not a duplicate, it's a completely different shot angle etc. but from the same shoot and very recocgnizable. But I'll take my chances then, I still want to share it with DPC-ers :-)
