I am ordering a backpack from amazon and it qualifies for Free Super saver shipping. Has anyone used this method of shipping, it says that your order will be delayed 3-5 days when using it--
If anyone has checked out with that shipping does it take forever for the item to arrive?
Standard shipping is like 6 bucks more..

I use super shipping all the time @amazon. It takes a little longer before shipping but I find it's still good turn around anyway. Depends how desperate you are for the item really :)

Rob, do you think If I place order today, the item would be here (michigan) by Friday? |

I would doubt it. Once it ships, it's still say 3 days and SS depends on the luck of the draw. I have had times when they take the full 5 days extra and other times when I see it ship the next day. If you need it, I would pay for the shipping method that made sure you get it (or pick it up locally somewhere).

You could order it and they'll give you an estimated shipping date (which is usually pretty accurate). See when it'll be shipped and if you're not satisfied you can cancel or change your shipping method.
I don't know if they still offer it, but last year I signed up for a free month of their "Prime" membership where 2nd day shipping is free, and overnite is only $3.99 (only on items Amazon directly sells). Just remember to cancel before the month is up or they will charge you $80. But I decided to keep it anyway and use them all the time. Good deal in the long run if you use Amazon a lot. |
