I was really excited to get special seats for last week's game between my Cincinnati Reds and the St. Louis Cardinals. PERFECT weather, great game with a grand slam by Adam Dunn and a winning effort by the team.

The Diamond Seats are really cool and definitely for the pampered sports fan. It was a fun night!

I had talked about renting a faster, better lens for the game, but was unable to do so. Maybe next time.

Wow - those are some excellent images! They could work as pro images for any sports website / paper IMO (though I'm no authority in the field:)

I'm surprised they let you go in with a long lens, most pro sports venues that I've been to don't allow > 55mm.

Well, the longest I have is the 70-300 and it really doesn't look that big. Also, I didn't think about it but being in the Diamond seats and going in through the "special" entrance, I didn't have my bag checked at all. No one gave me any grief about the camera. As a matter of fact, before we moved seats I asked the usher and explained that it would be a better position for taking photos and he said no problem at all. Thanks for the nice comments :)
