For informational purposes only. I still want to see how the thing performs in broad daylight.
From the D300

| You're still not seeing anything on a 3" LCD, no matter how close the pixels are together. Until we can get a direct feed from the camera to a 300DPI, paper-thin 8x10 screen with pixels that react to light like real ink and no backlight, I'm a viewfinder kinda guy. |

I'm with madman2k. You get a little more detail but 95% of the details are a blur.
Sony should license the PSP screen to camera makers. Now that's a small screen with image quality to drool over. |

Nikon shooter:
"just to let everyone know, the issue about the D300 LCD was put to rest, and the screen is indeed 922000 pixels"
Canon shooters:
"meh, LCDs are overrated. my 300D's LCD is more than enough for what I do!" |

Nikon shooter:
"wow 51 focus points. Great for fast action"
Canon shooter:
"Who needs all those. I only use the center point anyway"

I must admit, it would be nice to be able to zoom in to check player numbers and such in the camera. My 1D just shows the image full screen..
Oh well, that's what editors/track operators/parents/the subjects themselves are for, right? |

I'm just wondering how bad the Nikon's higher-resolution LCD eats through batteries?
