Wow, she looks like Minnie Driver!

I've been doing headshots myself lately! So I can happily tell you that I would have been proud if I had shot them myself! I think they came out great. My favorite is:

The catchlights are great, and it's a unique pose. It's different than the norm, and that's what will (hopefully) get her noticed by casting directors. The only thing I would say is that the bright blue background is a bit distracting. Just my 2 cents. Hope this helps. Nice shots.

Thank you Magen! I appreciate it. Of course I've been working on them all day so I thought a fresh set of eyes would be nice.

I gotta say this one is my favorite! Her expression is very nice and the image just rocks! :0)

They are all really good, my 2nd pick would be

It was between 5 and 6:30pm outdoors. No extra lighting or reflectors. I actually think I need to start a bit earlier...it's starting to get darker earlier already.

Just curious, what were your settings?
I've been shooting in natural light as well, anywhere between 10am and 5pm. I use aperture priority around between 3 and 5 ish. I'd love to know what you did here. :)

I tend to stay around 2.8 but I'm thinking I may try the 3's or 4's next time. Shooting with a 3-5 fstop, do you still get nice blurry background?

I agree with oOWonderBreadOo on those two. Very nice! I think I like Sandra 3 best. The pose is more flattering (not that any of them are un-flattering) to her face giving more definition to her cheekbones. One thing I would try is to heal her necklines a little bit in "Sandra." Nice work, I'm sure she is thrilled with them!

This was at 3.5 and the background was pretty blurry.

I love a shallow dof!
