You made me and my girlfriend browse through all the images again to figure out yours! For some reason she is very interested in the challenge results - it will be interesting to see if our guess was right!

I know!!

But it seems to be normal lately to drop radically the first day or so. I'm slooooooowly climbing back up again.

I got 12 comments and two favs, all saying it's beautiful. So go figure :-)

It's gonna be a long week...

and here I was debating with her - no this is not sharp enough, lighting doesn't look perfect, its not cropped well enough, this looks like a 6+ but not Larus'!

this is unreal....to start off so strong and then drop like this.

I'm starting to really doubt the integrity of voters. I allways give my vote according to the photo, I never vote it down to increase my own chances. I wonder if that is what's going on here.

You can't judge much from the first hours of voting, good or bad. Sometimes people go through and just give all ones and people groan and the scores are really low. Often these people do this just to mess with people posting in these threads, go back later and change votes accordingly. You get it the other way to, some people vote all high(usually the week after all the low votes, think low scores in Impressionism then high scores in Candy) to make people feel better but then everyone else votes and you get a better estimate of your score around 100 votes. Just seems to be what I noticed. I think the integrity of voting is intact. :)

we'll see how it goes.

but considering it has allways been reasonably steady, the differences now surprise me very much. to drop a few 0.XXX points is to be expected. but to drop allmost a whole point hasn't happened to me before. Not in the mediocre scores, but also not in the higher scoring photo's.

I find scores are highest first night and lowest the next day. My biggest change from first night to finish was -1.4, that was a blast to watch, lol!. Good luck, still a pretty good lookin score you got there. :)
