Interesting article about the state of light pollution and measures being taken to reduce it.

Now if government would only realize how much energy (money) is wasted on useless lighting... hmmmm, perhpas if we told them they could waste it on something else??

This link is mostly to do with atmospheric conditions in a given location but there is also a 'light pollution' map. You have to find your State and then a location near you to get to the map.
