On Monday I am flying to Corfu for a two week holiday - the last time I went abroad was 24 years ago, as was the last time I flew! I am beginning to get mildly apprehensive now...
I've sorted out all my packing except camera stuff. I just can't work out what to take. I thought maybe the camera (doh), the 17-55mm kit lens for wide angle, the 28-135 for walk around, and my Sigma 70-300,polarising filter for 28-135, and 3x2GB memory cards. Weight is an issue - hand luggage is limited to 5kg in a bag no larger than 56x45x25cm. I wouldn't take my 100-400, too heavy, and I would worry about it being nicked, but should I take the 10-22 rather than the kit lens? |

| I have no suggestions as to what to pack but I'm sure you'll have a great time (and plenty of great pictures to show for it)! |

| I would say take the 10-22 instead of the kit lens ... just my opinion though ... have a great time, can't wait to see pictures!! |

If you are going to be in town much, you will be dying for the 10/22. It's great for the wide open spaces too. 15mm manual fisheye is my widest, and I use it a lot, and 18/70 seems a good walking around lens. There is such a small gap between 22 and 28 where the long zoom takes over that you can crop the 22mm shots if necessary and have good results. The polarizer is going to be very useful too. You may even want to see about a gradient ND filter.
If you do not take a laptop, then you may be able to have the memory cards up loaded to disc at the places where you are staying in order to have plenty of memory to shoot a lot of images.
Have a safe travel, post pix when you can.
