Sorry folk, I'm know this has been raised a number of times . . but is there a way of tracking who is looking at your pictures on the web. I have a shot that is suddenly rocketing in it's views and it is presumably on something like flikr or stumblupon, but I can't find it.

I don't have an issue with people linking to my shot's if they give due credit, but I can't find where this one is and it's irking me.

I've searched the web under username (images and web pages) no sign of it - but over 600 hits in less than 4 days.

Thanks Steve - interestingly when I put in jedusi stumbleupon I get a different user to the one you get . .

However having tried all these variants earlier I still cant find the particular picture I'm looking for and it's now heading towards 700 views. If they had creited it to me then I feel it would be easier to find,

Which image is it?

You should be able to find the link to your image with a Google search on the image id. For example:

"IMAGE_ID=566591"

Thanks Dan - the image id = 580904

I've just tried goggling it and it only came up with the one on DPC.

thanks for that idea - I just found out why one of my shots got 600+ views in 2 days - someone tagged my shot on their stumbleupon site. Just the link to the image page, no image stealing or anything like that - but mystery solved! :)

If you can see the views going up, they are linking to the photo page and you are getting credit.

I guess you're right - but it still irks me that I don't know where it is, and it just keeps going up.

Maybe I should find this person and get them to act as my agent - they're obviously doing a good job at getting my work seen :- )

So if I made the print available do you think any of these people would buy it ? nah probably not : )
