No, but I did come up with a basic-tools legal way to add a vignette to a picture. That got feathers ruffled on all sides. They won. Dammit! |

How many people even bothered to look up the definition of "Impressionism" or the high-rated entries in the last Impressionism challenge? I'm not a big DNMC'er...but in this challenge I found myself, on more than one occasion, thinking: "What were YOU thinking?"
Still and all, I did hand out a few high scores, including a 10. |

I looked at all of them, too. There's about 40 or so that look pretty good and natural to me. I'm not going to go into what "natural" means.... I'm not sure if I'm going to vote or not. |

Hmm, I dont want to start any arguments, I am just trying to learn and grow here on DPC. When I saw the challenge, I went to Google and started reading all I could about Impressionism, I cant say anything about my entry, but I got an inspiration and went with it, including using a filter to achieve my desired effect. I know the majority of you are saying that is not a good thing, but personally, I would hope that all of you would go vote on my photo, be it high or low, and tell me what you do or do not like about itor what you would have done differently, so that in the future, I will have a better idea of what to do. Just my thoughts, sorry for rambling...

I tried so hard to get something in camera. I think I didn't do too badly. But now I see it's not very original either.
Not pulling the plug tho, I want to see how this ends up. I can handle another 5...maybe...at least I think so....right?? |

My overall DPC score has been taking a big hit this week wit the two current voting challenges. Impressionism is a tough one for sure with the group here that likes 'em crisp and sharp.
I am just happy that they don't have negative numbers in the vote scale LOL.
