Hey everyone,
Just putting it out there, I've made a new timelapse, bigger and better than the previous. It was shot using my Canon 30D and TC80N3 Intervalometer, in and around Christchurch New Zealand, also partly in South Australia. Theres two version to choose from, the hi quality .mov (around 20mb) or the YouTube version. I would highly recommend viewing the better quality version if you can!
Celeritas - Hi Quality Version
Celeritas - YouTube Version
Enjoy, and as always, comments appreciated!
Cheers,
Simon |

2.5mins at 25 frames per sec = approx 3750 frames...
Think I'll probably wear my camera out eventually! The 30D is rated for 100,000 shutter bursts, so should be fine for a while! |

As well as a huge number of images it looks like a heck of a lot of planning as well. |

Planning isn't really a big deal. You just shoot like you would if you were out taking normal photos... |

That was great, what did you use to put it all together?
I might try this. How was this continous shooting and how far apart were the exposures? |

I used Quicktime Pro to pull the images into sequences and export to DV-PAL 16:9 footage. I then used FinalCut to edit the film together.
The sequences were generally shot around 1 frame every 3seconds. Upto 1 frame every 5seconds and as fast as 1frame every second.
Thanks for your comments everyone, really appreciate the feedback. I was really excited about posting this, as I'm quite chuffed with the result. |

Fantastic! How do you get the camera to take the shots every 3 seconds? Is there a setting or is there a device? |

You can do it with a manual remote but the one with the timer would make it much easier. |
