I sent a spot edited version of this picture //www.dpchallenge.com/image.php?IMAGE_ID=28629 to kodak about a month and a half ago, and forgot about it totally. Then I got an email the other day saying it will be their picture of the day for Sept 1st. And be displayed on a Times Square billboard. I was never even expecting a reply back. :)

Congrats. I take it from your post that they must look at these over time and not just on the day you submit! Way to go!

Congrats, I work in NYC and if I can I'll get to Times Square and get a shot of the thing! No promises though, I'll do my best.

wow, thanks Mark, that would be so cool to have a pic of that. Also, I just looked over the Kodak site, and I didn't see anything about the pictures having to be taken by Kodak cameras.

Actually, the picture I took was with a Kodak camera which was since stolen. I looked over the site again though, and haven't seen anything anywhere about pictures having to be taken by kodak cameras. So i think your safe Mav.

Congrats!!! That is sooo cool!

FYI:

You don't need to own a Kodak to submit a photo. The only catch is you have to agree that Kodak can use your photo for promotional purposes.

Best,
Renee

One of the Times Square webcams is supposed to have a view of the Kodak building so you can see your photo on display. Congratulations!
