| It doesn't look like DPC has a wkipedia entry. I think the site should, and knowing how the system works, I suggest the Council write it up. They make you explain why having DPC entry is important. |

| Thanks all! I PM'd him, so I guess we'll wait see if DPC can make it through all Wikipedia's red tape. |

Well, it's been about a year and still no wikipedia page...
I would create it myself, but you need know-how on how to make pages and proper citations. A page I made failed once because I had no links to back up the credibility. And I didn't know what I was doing...
Anyone?? |

Well egg on my face. I didn't think to search anything other than "dpchallenge."
Maybe I'll have to start a rant on how terrible wikipedia's search feature is. |

"This page may meet Wikipedia’s criteria for speedy deletion as an article about a web site, blog, web forum, webcomic, podcast, browser game, or similar web content that does not indicate the importance or significance of the subject."
help... it appears that website are not allowed, and will be deleted.
i have since changed the description to "community" but i'm not sure what else to do.
what a wasted effort.

| Ah! See that's the issue! That's why I originally asked SC to do it. They might be able to make it all official sounding and have references and junk. |

This has been discussed before, several times, e.g. this thread. It's not a question of whether the article sounds official or is written by SC, but whether it meets Wikipedia's published guidelines for creating articles and what might be deleted on sight.
I put some links in that thread to help indicate what is needed for an article on a website like DPC to be kept rather than deleted on WP. It's worth reading those articles before working on an article, to save yourself wasted effort (and keep sending references from other sources to ClubJuggle!). |
