It had been said in the past, much more eloquently than I could say it, that really one should not judge what meets the challenge or not,
because the person who took the picture could be smarter than you.

One more time, think outside the box people , because,

the person who took the picture could be smarter and more creative(gasp!-no!!!!) than you.

Or they blatantly ignored the topic or chose to shoehorn with the title.

True, not all what voters say are DNMC are but there are a few that my first statement applies to.

Why have a topic at all if we can't judge what meets the challenge.

Ignore the instructions for this challenge at your peril(?).

Never mind. I don't want to take over Judi's challenge suggestion thread with yet another argument about DNMC.

I was thinking more about this.

Ok, it's fun doing the DNMC, but what about doing DNMC just to do DNMC?

The comments by some made me think, and I posted my ramblings ere if anyone cares about the issue.

PS, I like this type of challenge where you have to include something in your image creatively.

But getting off topic would be grounds for DNMC so you're fine. :P
