My six year old, Shelby, was down by the lake alone, looking under rocks for worms so she could do some fishing. I was up on the deck, trying to get hummingbird photos. I heard splashing, and couldn't see Shelby around some trees, but did see lots of ripples in the lake. She started calling for help, so we all ran down the hill expecting to find her in the lake. Instead, all the splashing was from the fish she'd caught with her Barbie pole and tiny hook.
This is the biggest fish we've ever seen in this small lake, about the size of her leg.
I printed this photo on the big plotter at work, about 51x34 inches at 150dpi, on satin photo paper. It did a really good job!. It's bigger than Shelby, and is now proudly pinned up on her bedroom wall.
Good times!
P.S. Fish released & fine.

Speaking as a "Bass" I am glad to hear it was released. :)
That is a nice catch, glad to see it. She did a great job..... was it "without a net"?

Really cute! And all with a toy Barbie pole while next to her is a seasoned fisherman with a $3000 carbon fiber titanium GPS equipped fishing pole catching nothing! Priceless! LOL.

Mom helped with a net, actually, she's standing just out of the frame holding the end of the fishing rod. :-)

So are you now borrowing her Barbie pole?
I want to see a photo of group all using Barbie poles. |

...and shot using a Barbie Mattel Camera... :D
...don't laugh...that camera has a shot with a score of 7.29...much higher than what the top Nikon D40 shot... ;)
