It took me seconds to create this thread in the rant forum. It's not at all difficult.

If you read something or see a photo in someone else's non rant thread and can't resist the urge to post your politcal position, please create your own thread for that purpose.

Or, just book mark this thread and use it to post those uncontrollable thoughts that hit you.

Thank you.

One thread had a picture of an american flag in it, and I was just humiliated and insulted by that unbridled partiotism and blatant nationalism. It should be against the law to display images that don't cater to every nationality, creed, socio-status, and religion.

That sounds rather impossible.
So no image of a human being can be shown anymore either - right? I mean not everyone looks the same.

I really hope your comment above was done tongue-in-cheek, but saw no signs that it was done as such.

I'd say the entire thread is tongue-in-cheek. (but that's just me)

No Brad, Im quite serious. And while were at it, I vote for the removal of the letter "c", and vote that all "c"s become "k"s or "s"s. I also urge that we add the character "CH" to the alphabet to accommodate words that would otherwise be displaced by this c-k transformation, but in addition, I request a stringent review of these words to see if they are still nessesary in the daily vokabulary.

OH AND "QU", watch your bak, youre next.

(to be read outloud in one breath)

Religion and politics often make some people lose all
perspective and give way to ranting and raving and carrying
on like emotional children they either refuse to discuss it
with reason or else they prefer argumentum ad homeinem which
is a hell of a way to conduct a discussion well anyhow not
long ago I was talking about the elections and how the
campaigns were ignoring the issues and sticking instead
to invective and personal crap that had nothing to do
with the substantive problems of running a government
which is all true as you know if you followed the speeches
and so called debates of the candidates anyhow one of the
guys I was talking with said not a word in the whole
conversation except at the end when he suddenly chuckled
and said we were all full of **** and why didn't we all go
live in Russia or China if that was the way we all hated
the United States of America next thing you know the whole
blooming discussion is more like a brawl and the epithets flew
thick and fast and the noise was incredible someone said "son of
a bitch" and I think he said "bastard" I couldn't be sure it was
all so confusing well anyhow I was attempting to get it all
back on a rational level I tried for example to talk to the
one who had started it all and I asked him just what did he
mean we were all full of **** was he making a statement of
fact as he knew it and where was his documentation to back
up his claim I think Socrates would have been proud of the
way I refuted his argument that is I tried to refute it but
all he could offer by way of rebuttal was more of the same
about how we were all full of **** but he wouldn't say why
he just kept on repeating it that and the part about Russia
and China and Communist dupes and I'll have to confess that
I got a bit angry and told him to stuff his ideas up his ass
which you don't have to tell me is hardly a way to convince
anyone in an argument then he got salty and threatened to
give me a punch in the mouth if I didn't shut up and I really
got hot and the others did too and we all beat the **** out
of Mr. Conservative and after all he had only himself to be
blamed this is still a free country and anyone telling a
fellow like me "brother you're full of ****" better be
good and ready to answer politely when asked if he'd care
to say WHY!"

OH AND "QU", watch your bak, youre next.

Your proposal has been anticipated ... by about 100 years:

For example, in Year 1 that useless letter "c" would be dropped to be replased either by "k" or "s", and likewise "x" would no longer be part of the alphabet. The only kase in which "c" would be retained would be the "ch" formation, which will be dealt with later. Year 2 might reform "w" spelling, so that "which" and "one" would take the same konsonant, wile Year 3 might well abolish "y" replasing it with "i" and Iear 4 might fiks the "g/j" anomali wonse and for all.

Jenerally, then, the improvement would kontinue iear bai iear with Iear 5 doing awai with useless double konsonants, and Iears 6-12 or so modifaiing vowlz and the rimeining voist and unvoist konsonants. Bai Iear 15 or sou, it wud fainali bi posibl tu meik ius ov thi ridandant letez "c", "y" and "x" -- bai now jast a memori in the maindz ov ould doderez -- tu riplais "ch", "sh", and "th" rispektivli.

Fainali, xen, aafte sam 20 iers ov orxogrefkl riform, wi wud
hev a lojikl, kohirnt speling in ius xrewawt xe Ingliy-spiking werld.

Ironically it ends up looking like French in the end.

According to the GeneralE's quotation...I think we would be better off just getting drunk and then trying to speak and spell. It would be way more fun too!!
