Can someone explain? Snow in Holland in august?
I know that there are many places with the same name, but Amsterdam, Holland, are there several?

| I'm showing on the weather thing that it's in the mid-high 60's in Holland this week. Doesn't seem possible to me either. Seems like this one shoud have been DQed, but not quite sure what's going on with it. Maybe we were waiting on proof?? |

It has been exceptionally warm and dry this summer, so dry that a lot of tree's lost there leafs.
And who said this is normal snow? It might be cocaine(also called snow sometimes) it's more common than snow in Holland (just joking) :-)

No way!
No snow, no rain, no nothing!
Yesterday even a dike collapsed because it had dried out! Yes, you read that right and I guess you won't believe me when I tell you that a dike (keeps my feet dry at -4m) gets it strength from being soaked.

| I live in Amsterdam, Holland. When I hit this picture I stopped scoring. I figured that I must have missed something in the rules for this challenge. We had no snow on the streets and we are sold out on cocaine due the visiting foreign buyers. |

I was born in Haarlem it's between Heemstede and Amsterdam, so I know for sure it was summer during the challenge.

Theses comments are hilarious.
A few wise folks are positive that it is not winter in Holland.
But most are either not too sure or are simply too polite to be firm on the point. Some are not even too sure where Holland is located geographically. Too funny.
Where did these folks go to school? Or did they? Maybe, they were just away on the day that they studied the Netherlands?

Thank you Morgan for the link, but yes, I know that Amsterdam is in Holland, Netherlands, Europe.
But I also know that there is a:
Lisbon in Ohio
Paris in Texas
Holland in Michigan
Amsterdam, New York
and I could cite many more examples.
All these in the USA, United States of America
And yes, I was polite, but not ignorant :-) |
