Greetings Good People!
I was wondering if anyone here uses AE. If so, how do you like it? What do you use if mostly for? How would you rate the ease of use? And finally, got any examples of what you've used it for?
Thanks in advance guys!

I've only used it once, to do some chroma keying with an alpha layer which I could export into Flash. I found it difficult to use and quite counter-intuitive compared to, say, Adobe Premier. What are you planning on using it for, since Premier has some similar features.

I use it quite frequently - a great app. and incredibly powerful once you've scratched the surface.
Any motion graphics software with a timeline takes getting used to - the disciplines are very different and it helps to plan a project carefully before clicking the mouse.
Let me know if I can help.

I LOVE AFTER EFFECTS and use it every day for development of motion graphics.
most of my work goes to disc and isn't online, but here is a quicky ad that i created in AE using some stock illustrations:

you should also check out the gallery at //www.trapcode.com
they're 3rd-party plugins for AE, but you can see lots of cool stuff in their gallery.
and this is a great series of examples. some are confusing (it's written in japanese and translated to english), but it should get you started. //www.ayatoweb.com/ae_tips_e.html |

These are two different reels for the same purpose (no others online right now):
showreel-1
showreel-2
Cute video muckpond! You involved in the motion, illustration or both?

Hope it helps in some way.
Cheers
Jon

That's pretty cool guys. So you all use it mostly for video enhancements for the web?
Gonna have it give it a whirl since I do a lot of work on Flash and am always looking for ways to make things look nicer & more hi-tech.
Sweet stuff!
Any tutes out there for novice users?
