I posted the re-crop earlier but didn't mention it until now. Let me know what you guys think and thanks for all the excellent comments!

I prefer the original composition. It has a good summer feel. I just wish that the foreground is a bit brighter.

I loved this shot - the original had flaws (wrong side of the tree, people on the sides) and this one fixes one of those (people) but it's still just a great, fun shot. :)

I thought the same thing. Too bad the flash on the 717 isn't strong enough to fill in that situation. If I had an external flash, I think the image would have looked and scored better. But overall, I'm happy with the image. I do like the contrast the reflecting sun has on the water and the effect it had on the shower spray.

But I liked that side of the tree! :) Besides, I wanted to get more of a silhouette feel to the image but didn't quite get what I wanted. And as faidoi pointed out, I would have been just as happy to get a fill shot of the boy at the shower, too. Practice practice... :D

I liked the orginal best, shows more of a scene.
Most everyone thought my shot was overexposed, which it really wasn't; the sand it truly that damn bright.
