... I've searched the web and can't seem to find any links to this image ... anyone have any ideas where the views might be coming from? |

How many does it have? You can't trick me into clicking it :) |

LOL ... 1045 and climbing rapidly ...
edit to say that the next "most viewed" image in my profile has 300 views ... so this is unusual!!

My bet would be Stumbleupon.
People post things they've found, liked, and want to share but unfortunately too often forget to link/give credit to the original. It's not usually malicious, just thoughtless.

Would be a cool DPC site addition to list last 10 referrers to your image beneath the image, filtered for hits not originating from dpc itself. |

That would be awesome ... would help catch stolen images ... |

If they're referring they're not stealing. |

Sorry, I don't know, just recall from other thread(s) that this is somewhere extra hits have been tracked back to. I'll have to see if I can find it in the threads.... |

I'm not saying the linked images are stolen ... but there have been a LOT of stolen images lately ... I'm only saying that routerguy's suggestion would help eliminate stolen images ... not much we can do about linked images .. |

Interesting. I recently had one of my images shared on Stumbleupon. It was an image that scored in the mid-fives here, but received some 800 hits through that site. I found out where it had been posted by putting the title of my piece "Mmmmmm Strawberries" into Google, and the site came up.
I don't know who posted it. Wish I did. It was nice of someone to refer it to that site. |

It probably has so many views because of this thread.
It is my job to solve mysteries like this, no need to thank me.
