Hey guys,
I am trying to get my speedlite 580ex flash to work as a slave unit to my cameras on board flash, has anyone done this before? How do you get it to work? I have been sitting here with my camera and flash trying to get it to work without luck.
Any suggestions would be great.

I don't know for sure, but I don't think this can be done. If you had a 420ex or 430ex, you could use them as slaves with the 580ex on your camera.

might need to attach a slave to the 420. if its wireless there would be something in the flash menu about the settings
