I'd go 10D. I haven't held/used a D60 but the largest difference is that the 10D got the much-improved autofocus system from the EOS 3 film camera. It also has more focus points than the D60. I can vouch for the 10D's autofocus speed, even with the 50mm 1.4 which is supposed to have a slower motor than other Canon USM lenses. It's light-years ahead of the F717. It doesn't oscillate back and forth from the focal point, even in low light. It goes there and locks.
Go to //www.dpreview.com and look at both the 10D review (has a side-by-side comparison) and browse for 10D vs. D60 in the Canon D30/D60/10D forum for comparisons. |

Thanks for the reply, and the advice. I looked at some other reviews, but that link provided more of the information I was looking for, (and then some!) Looks like we're shootin' for a 10D.
Thank you,
Linda

Sorry, that was the EOS 30 autofocus, not EOS 3. |
