I work with few guys from Dominican Republic and when we go drinking sometimes they talk beer from their contry. They say the one you can buys in US is not the same. Well.. they recently went to back to DR for vacation and I requested that they bring me a botle of that magic beer.
Today I got my hands on scratched, recycled many times bottle of original Presidente from DR. Being that I'm a little sick right now I'll have to save it for the weekend. So. I decided to take a photo of it.
That brings me to the next two points...
1. Is the photo any good and what can I do to improve it? This photo is only croped. Nothing else was done to it.
2. Has anyone tried this beer before? Any thoughts about it?
Thanks for reading
Nick

Hey Nikolai, I had a few of them around Easter when I was in the Dominican Republic for a week. They didn't taste noticeably different than what we get here in the states, but I'm no connoisseur of beer either. I just like trying local beers where ever I happen to be at the time.
One that I did like from down there was Boheme (sp?) or La Boheme.
As far as the picture goes, it looks good except that the light is a bit bright and blows out the label to the point of not being able to read the word "Pilsner" completely.

We went to the Dominican Republic on our honeymoon last April. We had Presidente in our room every day...they restocked it free! So we had a few. As yakatme says...it tastes pretty similar to what we get here. ;) It's a cool Dominican souvener to have. |
