Other than magazines, I was wondering if anyone knew of good sources so that I may find some local workshops here in the PA region.

Contact your local affiliate of PPA. They offer workshops & seminars all year long. My local affiliate does workshops once a month. Great place to share knowledge.

I know, in our area the local non-profit art center has membership and has regular workshops. In fact, I'm going to a matting/framing workshop there this month. They also have exhabits where their members can show their work. I don't know where in PA you are...but, I found these, just by searching "art centers PA":

Project Basho, Yo Darkroom, and Fleisher offer workshops.

The University of Arts, Temple University and Moore College of Art offer continuing ed classes.
