Mmmmm - BBQ & beer! (I picked up a six pack of Shiner Boch last night, just to make sure I'm ready for Texas! LOL)

Okay - schedule update; here are the pending model shoots I'll be working around:

Tue. evening, 7 - 9 pm (Lauren)
Wed. morning, 6:30 - 7:30 am (yeah, crazy... i know!) (Shauna)
Wed. evening, 5 - 9 pm (Victoria)

Kat - I'd love to shoot the horses @ Las Colinas Wed. evening, around 7:30? I'll buy ya a beer if you'll "hold the refelctor" :)

Mike - ummmmmmm - any chance you'd wanna work a shoot with me Wed. evening, @ 5 pm (hint - bring a bathing suit)? I'll send a link & my ideas if you'd like... Only thing is, we'd hafta grab dinner on the run to another session :(

Chris - It sounds as though Friday night will be party night! LOL

EVERYONE - I will drop any/all modeling sessions in a heartbeat if it means not getting to meet you guys!!! OH! No modeling stuff for Thurs.-Sat. (trip to the zoo or somethin?)

HA! He said Victoria's shoot, not Victoria's Secret!!! Pbbbbbth! ROFL

Jojo...find a sitter, leave work and come along, lol! You are ALWAYS welcome here!! And we WILL road trip sometime this fall!

Zoo on Friday afternoon might be fun! I'll see what they close as if it's later, Thursday is supposed to be cooler. It's an amazing zoo!
Keep me posted...if ya leave me out...I'll haunt you guys for the rest of your lives, lol.....ok, maybe not - but my feelers would get hurt! :P

Bill...Wednesday evening at the horses...I'll hold the reflector...just bring the dang beer! (And I'll click off a few shots as well!!)

I just realized last nigh that I have a concert to go to on Friday night. I thought it was next week, but it's this week.

Looks like I'll be out for the party on Friday. I'll do my best to make it out to one of the things another night this week. If I think I can make it, I'll pm someone to get the info.

ok guys - I got a special treat from UPS today! Ordered a pair of shoot-thru white satin umbrellas & got them just in time for this trip. I've played with them for a few minutes & LOVE the portraits already!

I've decided to actually bring 2 lightstands & several umbrellas to go with a couple SB-800's... which means you guys can easily set them to 'slave' & play around with portable flashes if'n you like!

Now, I'm sorry if that sounds like bragging - it really isn't! I'm just trying to get ya to buy external flashes! LOL

Can't wait to meet some great friends...

To all of you other Dallas area peeps - - well, I'll be back in October!

Yah, well I don't even own an external flash, so I guess I'll hold the reflector...(shuffles feet)

Hey Kat! I'm in town now, and have done the first shoot (young lady set the bar VERY high for her followers!)

Unfortunately, Delta sent my lightstands & new umbrellas to freakin Cleveland OHIO!!! (thankfully, they brought it to me @ the hotel, and I was able to use them for a few shots!)

I have been running on fumes all day, and tomorrow will be another long one - will call ya tomorrow during a break in training!

(psst! the flashes can be set to slave, and you're welcome to give them a try)

Not to steal the thread or anything, but Billy, are you saying that if you set an external flash to slave and use the flash that is on the camera(not an external flash) the slave flash should still fire???

We now return you to the origional thread.

Oh well, our dear friend Kat & her husband are graciously showing me some of the local culture tonight!! (Looks like Billy Bob's of Texas - go figure! LOL) Thank goodness for terrific DPC'ers, huh?!?

JoJo, i AM coming back to the Dallas area in October - think your Mom will let ya go if'n we start beggin now? LOL

Rich - Sure! (well, so long as your external flash is capable of being set to slave / remote / whatever.) I use two SB-800's on lightstands & fire away! (Hint - set your on-camera flash to manual & use only enough power to faithfully trigger the slaves. OH! Even if your flash units don't have an optical sensor, you can still buy a 'peanut slave' (just google it...)

Billy, James and I enjoyed having you hang here in Big D. Hope you enjoyed your time and look forward to October. For those that didn't make this one, we are going to do a "redo" GTG in October. This will give y'all plenty of notice to plan! :P
