i just went to edit some shots and when i click on the crop tool the icon stays as a hand, what the heck am i doing wrong?

nevermind...its just started working...any idea what caused it tho?

Maybe the space bar was held down? |

You get hand tool when you hold down spacebar. With any tool, actually. Good trick to know, for moving stuff incrementally in a zoomed window.
