I'm really aiming for the cheaper end lenses. I just bought my first DSLR about 3 weeks ago so I've narrowed it down to 2 that i find more suitable for me
the
EF 28-105mm f/4-5.6 from Canon
or the
EF 28-105mm f/4-5.6 |

Do you mean the 28-105mm vs the 28-135mm IS?

The 28-135mm IS is substantially better than the 28-105mm. Another option you may want to look into is the Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 which is a wonderful lens although not as long as the Canon.

Here's a review on photo.net. It tests:
EF 28-90mm
EF 28-105mm
EF 28-135mm
So you'll see some tests from the lenses your looking at.
I keep on hearing/reading good things about the 28-135. I don't have this lens, but I would go with that one.
