I recently had the pleasure of interviewing bucket, who recently returned from a trip to africa. but it wasn't your every-day vacation.

i'm posting the article up with his permission. i tried to do justice to his experience with limited time and space. i'm sure there's a lot more to his journey he could share. but it was an interesting story for me to cover.

thanks for your interest. and thanks again, rc.

Thanks.
Really the amazing work is being done by people who work there all year round...I was really honoured that were welcomed so warmly and could contribute in some small way. And thanks Jeff for taking the time to help out with village galleries by spreading the word.
I have a ton of shots that need processing but am heading to the west coast for my sister's wedding (I am shooting it) and have been plenty busy catching up with my kids. I have uploaded a few, hope you enjoy. The shots by the Maasai can be found on the website, hopefully we will have a gallery in Toronto this fall.
And mk, no more Mr Cook from you..:)

seriously, SERIOUSLY awesome. i saw that film, Born Into Brothels, a while back and fell in love with the idea. its so cool that not only did you fall in love with the idea, but you actually made reality of it. completely inspiring.

Great story and article. The article said there was no electricity (at the school, I think). How do they recharge the batteries?

All batteries and equipment are stored at MPDI in Monduli. They are basically in charge of the whole project/equipment now, we trained them. One of our team members is currently setting up a website for MPDI as well.
