since you told us that it was an accident at least you can use it as a learning experience. I certainly believe you when you say it was not an intentional attempt at cheating.

Try not to worry. It sounds like there may have been many validation requests. Plus I had my first one last week, and it took several days for them to validate me.
As for my score, I seem to hover in the 5.2-5.3 area (up and down a lot, but not too much). If I can stay there, and/or make it out of the botton 25%, that would be great for my 3rd challenge. Slow but steady, lol. |

| Kind of curious. I submitted my original before the challenge(Monday) started allowing voting. I have not heard anything back yet. Will I, or does this mean I was ok? |

I think (and I'm still fairly new) that if you submit when you don't get a request, you'll only hear from them if you get a DQ. So in your case, no news is good news. I may have to do that since I'll be away from my computer all weekend (more than the 48 hours they give you to respond). And since I had a request last week, I'm kinda scared now, lol. |

So, this is my second entry, and I quite happy!! But I had a DQ request for my image and I sent the raw. What do they do with the raw after they are finished evaluating whether it is a DQ or not? do they permanently delete it? |

If it is a DQ your pic will be put at the end of the list..after the last place picture. You will have a red banner on it saying DQ!

My score is about 0.5 pts higher than I expected it. I think I found the magic formula for being happy with my DPC scores. Shoot off the hip, don't edit at all, and submit hoping for the 4.x. You may be surprised.
I tried putting a lot of effort into shooting, processing etc. and I arrived at 4.7 in another challenge currently going on. You never know... |

The thing to note here is this is the BIGGEST in-Challenge score swing I've ever had. Early on, I was low 4s and have steadily moved up the whole Challenge. The score isn't anything to write home about, but I like that the voters are changing their minds ;) USUally, after about 20 votes are so, my score it pretty settled in to where it's going to be. |

Non team effort? I think the only "team efforts" would be from dpl team members who are still competing, and only some of them do what you are talking about. (and even that is not meant to help them beat the average joe, just to help them beat the other team they are competing against)
My team for example, was out long ago and have had nothing to do with any of my shots since. :) |

Crap.
Looks like this will be a best finish (in terms of score) and a worst finish (in terms of ranking) all in one!
Plus people don't seem to have a lot to say about it. |
