what do you call it when you "crop" an audio file?
it is wav format and i only need a part of the audio clip.
anyone can suggest a freeware that could do this?

Its not free but it will work for like 300 commands (thats enough) before nagging u. Search gold wave and install it. ALso download and the plugin for mp3 if u need it.

Its very powerful, if you know how to use it.

WavePad 3.05 is freeware... NCH has a Master Edition of the software but the freeware got got me through the simple stuff.

so i got adventurous and downloaded a few to try and which is easiest to use (i'm noob at audio). thanks again for all the input - this place is like the best "search engine" ever :p (and i promise not to misuse it)
