I was being bored one day and entered a picture ( i dont remember which one) to a contest on picture.com....so i get this email... and im trying to figure out whether this is bull$&#(@ trying to pull me into a scheme i don't want to be in....any advice????

What does the email say?

I have been receiving emails saying;
your friend
your co-worker
your fellow photographer
etc.,etc.,etc.
has sent you an e-card.

Then it ask me to click the link and its strikingly similar to your url.

If so do not open it. It's full of trojan's.

Basicaly you send them your pic and You MIGHT win a prize but then they will offer you a limited time chance to Buy a book for like $50-$75 with your picture in it. Its a ripoff to make them profit.

It's what's called vanity press. Virtually everyone who sends a photo in gets published.

Technically it's not a scam because they do deliver the goods they sell you -- but it is a waste of money.
