Any Suggestions ? I am going shopping for one later today. Are the models in the $120-$200US range pretty decent for an area around 12 X 20 feet? Most of these are anywhere from 450 Watt to 1200 Watt. From what I understand the higher watt the faster you can do another blast, basically same as a flash recharging ?
thanks

That should be plenty. I have a cheap one (less than $50) and I have to try to evacuate smoke from the area with fans. It can produce as much smoke (and more) as I need for an area about that size.

what kind is it? I have been looking at American DJ Martin and Rosco.
at Full Compass. Mainly because their warehouse is only a short drive from here so I can pick it up today. That and they usually will match or beat anyone else in price.

I had a cheap one I used for Halloween, but I ran the fog through a home-made chilling device to keep the fog closer to the ground so it would linger and hover more. |

I'm not sure of the brand either... it's out in the shed somewhere. It is a cheapo that Walmart carried at Halloween with an internal ice tank.

I remember when they had those a few years back. Haven't seen them for awhile. I think the one I am going to get is around 50 dollars another 12 for a bottle of the liquid and I should be set for what I need.

I went to a DJ supply store and picked up an Odyssey
Fog Zone 500 for 39 dollars. Works great. Now I am going to rig an ice box to pump it through. If you are into creative lighting but do not want to spend any money, I advise to stay away from those DJ supply shops. Some pretty wicked cool stuff in there. |
