Outstanding Han!
Looks so much like a young Jackie O. and could see this shot 30 years ago on the cover of Newsweek or Time Magazine.
Outstanding. Doesn't get much better than this.

Very good stuff biteme! I will add comments when I get home form work today. Are these taken with your new 85mm f/1.2L? |

Thanks!
Yep.
I still have to get used to the quality AND the DoF. Especially without a tripod or with bad light outside it's hard (shaky shaky hands). The lens is heavy.. Ah well. I'll get used to it ;) |

Oh, by the way, some people asked me about the b/w conversion.
I'll explain a little bit.
In the RAW-converter I edited one photo, and tagged that conversion to "sue". I used it for all photos from Sue, sometimes with a small adjustment.
Change to grayscale, and slide the blacks to a nice level. Yes, The blacks are really black, but that was what I wanted in this series. I wanted it to look like the old-fashioned-Hepburn-style. Not sure if I did that, but I'm satisfied ;) I also added a small vignette in the raw-onvertor.
In photoshop, I tweaked the curves a little bit and added another vignette, to finish.
All these photos were staged, ofcourse, and I know some aren't sharp enough (for me at least) but I really have to get used to the new lens. But I think that will work out allright.
The light was perfect, cloudy. I've had some critiques about the dark eyes, but I didn't have an assistent who could hold a reflector. But actually, I like it myself.
I'm not awake 100% yet, so I hope this all makes sense ;) |
