I know there's a way to add name and stuff in the IPTC field automatically, so that you don't have to do it manually all the time.
HOW? |

I think there's a help section in the software. ;o)
On one of the menus there should be an option for uploading to the camera things like firmware upgrade, photographer name etc.
edit: just being fecicious.

Ok, first make sure you have the software installed. Then plug the USB cable into your camera. Turn the camera on. You'll either get a windows prompt asking you what you want to do or you'll go directly to EOS Utility depending on how you have things set up.
If you haven't previously set it up so that when you plug the camera in it goes directly to tethered shooting (that's the way I have it set up) then you'll be presented with the main Control Camera settings. Click on Camera Settings/Remote shooting. At the bottom of the Remote shooting screen you see a tools icon (looks like a wrench and a hammer), click it. Click to the right of Owner's name and type your name in. Click OK.
You're done. |

I know this is an old thread but I have been trying to remove the name of the original owner of my recently bought 20D. I have tried everything but I cannot get EOS Utility to recognise the 20D, it works fine with my 30D.
Is it due to the age of the 20D?
I am running Win 7 Home Premium 64bit version
Any help much appreciated !
Mike
