may not be the right place for this but i have a question.a while back i lost my hard drive and with it alot of images but some of these images still remain on my portfolio/profile/workshop pages here .is there a way to get them without getting in trouble(or raising any flags or whatever) as i see when i copy it to my computer it has the "this is a copyrighted image blah-blah whatever" tag attached.i dont mind the tag and yes i know why its there and yes i know the images are mostly 640 x 480 in size, lol i even know most of them are well crappy. im getting up there on the member account webspace used and was thinking of cleaning some of them out for future shots and to make room. id love to keep them(said pics) if i could.any help would gladly be appreciated. jmn

Once you save them, you can always change the file name.

If they are YOUR pictures, the copyright belongs to you and you can do whatever you want with them. If there is a flag raised, explain what you are doing and it'll all be great.

If they are your images, you are free to download them and rename them.

The file-renaming convention is supposed to act as a reminder to anyone else downloading an image that it is protected under copyright and may not be re-used without (your) permission.

Awhile back, I was able to retrieve some full-sized originals I'd uploaded to DPCPrints after I asked nicely.
