Portland, OR Photographers! An event to be beheld

This Sunday, 7/22, an event will be taking place at Pioneer Courthouse Square in downtown Portland. An event that I believe you must see in person to properly appreciate or believe.

World Record Drag Queen Chorus Line - a group attempting to raise money for the SMYRC (see below) via donations and sponsorships. Apparently the world record for drag queens in a chorus line is only 58. Portland can blow that (heh) out of the water easily.

The Sexual Minority Youth Resource Center (SMYRC) provides safety and support for LGBTQ youth in Oregon through youth empowerment, community building and education.

The event starts at 2PM, but before that there will be preparations taking place and (I assume) plenty of photo opportunities.

I think I'm going to try and be there around Noon or 1PM to catch all the action.

I just returned from the event, and let me say it was fabulous (imagine the letters sparkling and you'll get the idea).

They managed to break the record by 12. There were 70 drag queens, including one eleven year old, all dancing in a chorus line to "I'm coming up" at 3PM in PCS.

what is LGBTQQ ? I checked out the one site and it had that but I didn't really understand what it was about.

LGBTQQ:
Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transexual, "Queer Questioning"

I'd never heard "QQ" until today, but it made sense in the context of the organization, since their aim is to help teens and young adults who may be unsure of what their orientation is.
