I have been complaining to my wife that she has been far too busy and we aren't getting to spend any time together. I didn't know why she always had so much to do after I got off work and on weekends, too. I even got mad at her once.
Yesterday, she surprised me with a new d40. Apparently, she had been doing little jobs here and there for our friends and neighbors while I was at work to save up the extra money to buy it for me. That's why she had so much to do at night. An early anniversary present.
Someone slap me for getting mad at her.
And.... I got a d40!!! |

Thanks for slapping me focuspoint.
I'm very impressed with the d40. I knew from before when I was planning to buy one before I figured out that I really shouldn't for a while that it was comfy to hold and all the technical stuff I learned from the reviews and such. But there's nothing like having one at home, taking snapshots of my daughter and having them turn out better than the most planned composition with my older camera.
This is gonna be sweet. |

That was the plot of a Dick VanDyke show one time. (wife earning extra money to get husband a surprise)
