Must stop agreeing with posthumous, but there is lots not to understand here: why is Mary Poppins dressed like a priest? why are there two pillows with a head dent in each? Sometimes our best shots (in various media) are not entirely premeditated. |

I find that some mediocre images do very well if there was some obvious effort put into getting the shot. OR a very good idea. a bad shot of a very clever idea that took some work will score well. There may be exceptions.

I put alot of effort into my Still Life III entry and it's doing horribly. Not that I'm complaining, but where it seems like most other people just put some fruit on a table then my thoughtful one would be scoring better if effort resulted in a higher score. =]
Edited to say: I have a cool idea for the rolling stones songs challenge. I'll take effort and I won't settle this time unless it looks like the kind of photo that *could* (if all the stars aligned) be on dpc's front page. Crossing my fingers and getting impatient.
