Congrats to the Out of Focusers for quite handily beating my team, the EuroSquadron! Great round with some fantastic shots from you guys, really good (and quite non-sucky, I might add) stuff!

Greetings from the quiet place on the beach, lacking the ocean part. (I do understand there's a gulf nearby but I haven't seen it yet.) I'm a wee bit amazed at just how sand-colored sand is. I've also been tempted to take the camera out for a walk, but there are a whole lot of signs saying no photography or sketching, and a whole lot of people who carry guns here. So I've not quite gotten brave enough to try that yet. I will take a picture of my pod (I don't think they'll mind that) that I'll share when I figure a way to upload.
It is somewhat interesting to go to meals and have folks sitting all around you with M-16s slung over their shoulders.
I'll apologize in advance - I normally like to go through the suckers submissions and comment, but it takes a bit for the pics to load, I can't do it from work (where I am now), and the library has 30 minutes at a time limits on their machines. But I *will* try to get to at least some of the challenges when I can!

Hi all
Just stopping in to say hi - been crazy busy recently, so much so that I do have a shot for natural light portrait...but not enough time to sit and edit and submit it! Oh well, at least Nightmares did well.
I really should upload a pic of a new horse I'm working with. She's a Clyde mare named Fiona (but I call her Fifi) is just IMMENSE...17 hands high and at least 1700 lbs if not more.
Luckily she also has a sweet nature and an amazing work ethic. I put my saddle on her today for the first time and it looks like a teeny little jockey's saddle on her - riding her will be like riding a barrel!
OK time to go do some site stuff and try to shoot something other than stock pics this week - bye for now all! :-) |
