Battery charging as we speak
Had to sell my 1975 Fender Telecaster to foot the bill but the camera will be earning me some money, the Telecaster just looked cool...
I have been promised some weddings to shoot and seeing as my D200 has a scratched sensor and I'm still battling with Nikon UK service about fixing it, I thought it best to just take the offer of £1000 for my guitar and get the S5 Pro with a spare battery and use my D200 grip with it..
If Nikon decide to be HUMAN about my sensor and fix it for me then I will have a very nice pair of D200 style cameras that have very different insides.
Lot of research I done, lots of reading reviews and decided to get the Fujifilm S5 Pro today.. shot a few to try it out and at ISO 1600 I was gobsmacked by the low noise. Even at 3200 the colour is great, bit grainy but damn! way better on noise than the D200 by a long mile.
Downside so far.. bit slow writing to card. Im still playing around trying to set it up but decided to charge both batteries (fuji batteries ONLY work in it) and sit and wait and test it properly tomorrow
Can't wait man... |

Wow! More gear. At least it doesn't have the embarrassing word 'Nikon' printed on the front of it. Have fun with it, buddy.

Congrats MAK! As you know from other posts I'm thinking about getting one. Let me know what you think, and if the dynamic range is really that much greater.
BTW I see that they announced an IR version of it. Man talk about a specialty tool.
