then i will sing...
i didn't realize how similar the processing of a picture is to processing a recording...there is noise you have to get out, you have to refine the lights and darks and balance of colors...wow... how philosofical...I recorded this in the little room I live in with my stuff that I brought from home for recording...pretty amateur but thats ok
HOWEVER...editing music is much more frustrating and nervewracking and time consuming in my opinion expecially since i haven't done it in forever, all this photography stuff taking up to much time. So yeah this song is called Mama Who Bore Me its the opening to spring awakening the bestest musical on the planet. ive seen it twice since ive come to new york and those arent my last, it won the tony award for best musical this year and i was happy...but yeah i dont think i do this song justice at all, i am too old to play the character and Lea Michelle is just absolutely wonderful, but who cares, i like to sing, i like to record, i like this song...so it all came together. an actual karaoke hasnt been made for this yet but there are ways to remove vocals from songs (its harder in some songs than others) so thats what happened here. and this was the result...and it semi cheered me up after having dropped my camera in the river and haulted my progress as a photographer for now....but watch out...this weekend i am borrowing the company camera and am going to take some awesome stuff i am excited...so anyways listen to the song if you want or don't and leave a comment on it if you want... or dont :-D (you need quicktime to listen to the song)

WOW - beautiful voice. Reminds me of a young Judy Collins but sweeter. I like the triangle and violin at the beginning.

Is that you on the recording? Very nice. Your voice is "sweet" and has an "inspiring" sound to it if that makes any sense!

haha thanks, its been tough for me because i got very sick the last week of school and since then it hasn't really been the same, plus i havn't had voice lessons for a month in a half and so i have been going back to this less healthy way of singing my voice teacher tried to get me out of, but now that i am without a camera on a regular basis i can start to focus more :) it will be fun, i missed recording alot. i am going to record another song today after work so i will probably post it here

I recorded another song last night and actually kinda like it, its a new sound for me, its a duet with me and my friend you can listen to it on youtube or just a sound file here. This is another song from spring awakening called "the dark i know well"
