| I'm looking for a screen capture software for my new mac, the only thing is I need a video screen capture. I'm wanting to make a video how to for my upcoming class and I just got the mac book pro on friday. I don't really have the time to play and find one that works well. is there anyone out there that has done something like this and can suggest a good program to do it. I would love it if it could output to a quicktime movie, and love it even more if it was free |

| yeah, but like I said before. I don't really have time to download one and play with it to see if it works like I need it to. I was more looking for recommendations from other people who have done this before. |

I know OS X has a built screen capture program "Grab" that's under utilities. I don't know about video capture, maybe iMovie will do what you want.
Are you looking to download video from a camera or???? |

| SnapzPro is the best. It's not free, but it's not expensive either. |

can't tell you if it works on OSX or not but back in the day OS9 etc
Command+Option+Shift 3 will snapshot the screen and 4 will take a snapshot of what u select :)
