hi eveyone..
i have a dumb question regarding the aperture values, my lens says its a f3.5-5.6 ,but when working in manual mode & change the f stops (reffering to manual) it only ranges between 5.6 - 40 ..my question is am i changing something else ! & how can i set it to less than 5.6 ?

F3.5 at the wide end (28mm), climbing to 5.6 as you move to full zoom. Guessing you re talking about the 28-80 in your profile.

What length is the lens when it will only go to 5.6? If you have it all the way out to 80mm, then the lowest f-stop is 5.6.

For the tamron 28-80mm you have - the lowest f-stop at 28 mm is 3.5 and at 80mm it is 5.6.
