| I have been talking to someone about buying a Nikkor AF-S 18-70mm for $185 in excellent condition. Is this a good deal? I need fast focus and I am interested pairing it up with the Nikon 70-300mm 4.5-5.6 VR. |

I love mine! It's the lens I use most of the time and the picture quality is stellar! I've also banged it around too much and it still works great......not proud of that, but it's worth noting.
The only caveat I would make is that you should physically see it and use it before you pay for it.I know that's a great price, but if you're buying it online from a private individual and it's broken, you just got a really expensive paperweight.
