It would be very nice to be able to right-click on the drop-down menu items and launch them into new tabs (or windows). In particular this would make it easier to open a tab with your portolio in it when searching for image id's to post into a thread you have open in the original tab.
Simple change, requires minimal time/effort. Just wrap them in href anchors.

Is that "huh-ref" or "aitch-ref?"

Yup yup yup, depending on what the menu is made from it might not be possible straight up but im sure it can be changed.
BUT....
Smurfguy just wrote a new thing for the menu bar you'll mess it all up silly! |

"aitch-ref" in my book.
This would require changes to the menu JavaScript code, which is from a 3rd party site. Having just played with the menu code, I can tell you - it looks like friggin' Egyptian. Fairly unintelligible... which in fact, is how you write JavaScript if you don't want people to learn from or modify it.
Nevertheless, I agree with the OP - good idea. I'll right-clicked them myself. Maybe I'll play with it... |

From a brief glance, it would require adding href wrappers to the strings already present in menu9_21.js. All the menu9_com script is doing is pulling elements out of the arrays defined in _21 and stuffing them between div tags on the page we are looking at.
eg
Menu1=new Array("My Home","/index.php","",5,15,66,"","","","","","",-1,-1,-1,"","");
becomes
Menu1=new Array("My Home","/index.php","",5,15,66,"","","","","","",-1,-1,-1,"","");
But whatever, I'm sure there is other stuff on the list. |

The com file isn't that bad. Read on document object model. The rest is just straight js. |

Either, but definitely not the dreaded "Haitch".
Would be useful, I agree. |

SaraR- I had an Irish chemistry professor - it was always "oh haitch my nuss" (OH-) to him. =)

YES!
Anything, oh, ANYTHING, to avoid having to open a new tab manually and then go to a bookmark and click. I mean, that's THREE actions, and it might take me 5 whole seconds!
*grin*
In all seriousness, it would be a nice enhancement. I just occasionally manage to step back a bit and realize how incredibly impatient we all get over time. I remember when faxing seemed incredibly quick compared to mail. Now if PS takes 17 seconds to load, I'm frustrated.
And in the priority list, I'd much rather Langdon figure out a good system for adding "previous" and "next" buttons for browsing challenge results, portfolio entries, etc.

You don't even need to right click on the logo, just hold on the shift key and click on this, would open the DPC in a new window. |

You're crazy!
I know what you are saying. Have to remember though this isn't compiled code so the more concise it is the quicker it will load.
Keep up with your firefox mods and my request will probably be moot anyway! |
