If you're asking, can you post the SAME image to a challenge and here, the answer is, "You can, but it would be much better you didn't."

Images are not disqualified for not being annonymous, but it's a big (unwritten) rule at DPC, challenge entries are supposed to be annonymous.

Hope this helps :)

I do not believe it to be illegal, but you will pay dearly with your score. Most of us (a lot of us?) mark a photo down if we have seen it before in either a side challenge or another forum post.

On a side note: Man, there's a lot of images to comment on in this thread!!!! I'm so behind. Yikes!

I am doing my best to give constructive critical comments to all pictures, and I hope that I am not stepping on anyone's toes. I generally find something positive to comment on in each photo, too. This is helping me develop my own style as I am learning about what works in a composition and what appeals to me.

Please remember, this is just my opinion on what I would do, and if you find it helpful, great! If you disagree, just pass it off as another amateur trying to improve her own photographic work.

Day 11 - Morning Glory

Thought I would post the original image as well.

Well...THAT's disappointing! Entered my fuschia since it has over 450 views since the 7-1. :( Thought I had a decent chance at MAYBE getting into the top 100! *Sigh...removed it from the challenge today.

No kidding.... and we're not even halfway thru. That's why I did it by using the user links in the op and just went to each users 30 day folder. Now I'm caught up and do it from the thread but then find something to comment on so I can mark my spot.....

Okay its marked. :)

Double ditto

I appreciate your comments and you won't be stepping on my toes. My goal at DPC is to improve so I love the critique.

Guys ... I got a little too far behind on commenting it seems. I am making roads into it. I'll keep plugging away. Whomever it was that suggested making favorites and going right to the folders is a GENIUS. I have added most (if not all) of you that way. Just in case I miss someone and you don't get a bevy of comments in the next several days PM me and I'll add you to the list too.
And BTW all comments are welcome. No offense taken at all.

And lastly ... another late night tomorrow of physical therapy. Day 12 posted a tad early.

In my description for my western salsify photo, I mentioned that acrylic can be used on the dried heads.

Acrylic spray is basically spray paint without the color. It helps keep the seeds from falling apart.

Day-5 Day-6 Day-7 Day-8

Here are some from my Lavender series, that I took while down at Inverlock, Victoria, Australia, during our recent trip away.
Slowly catching up, and I will be making lots of comments today.....

I am so impressed with the wonderful images you are all taking, and some are taking my breath away.....

Day 11 - Common Harebell
PS - the Latin name makes this flower sound like a fat bell.

This is an in camera double-exposure (which messes with your perception, or at least "my" perception). Here's the same two flowers, single shot:

You are not stepping on my toes at all - I appreciate any and all feedback and have already learned lots of things and we're only on day 11.

I'm doing my best to comment on everybodys' shots myself, it is a daunting task but is also teaching me there are so many ways of looking at things, so it's a learning experience in itself. Hopefully nobody's taking offense at my comments either, some of my comments are nitpicky things, just things I notice and would want pointed out to me too!

Great job so far everyone !!!!!!!

I guess it helps to be on a Team...I have seem comments on some Top Ten photos that team members encouraged them to submit the photo to the challenge.

Went on a sunflower binge today in the Napa Valley on the way home from my sisters this morning. Too many to post here...but if you like sunflowers...they are in a separate collection in my portfolio.

I have changed all the borders from these Day 5 to Day 8, and also my origional Day 1 to Day 4, as I didn't like the colored stripe in the borders..... I replaced the colored stripes with a fine white inlaid border.....Thanks for the comments.....

I'd like to take credit for how awesome this is but this flower was just spectacular. I don't know the last time a flower just stopped me in my tracks the way this jewel did. I hope you think so, too.

My suggestion would be that if you get a shot that you REALLY like that might be on a short list for a challenge, especially a Free Study, hold it back.

Not that I have a couple flower shots in my folder at home that are making me twitch 'cause I haven't posted 'em or anything.......
