This is the lowest score I've gotten in a while -- But you know what? I am really proud of my photo. I absolutely love it. So, this time, it matters not if the voters like it. And it most definitely meets the challenge too. It's not one of those that's a huge stretch and has all kinds of flaws but "I like it so who cares, I'm entering it anyway." It's just one that meets the challenge and I love -- that obviously everyone else doesn't :) Art is so subjective, isn't it!

Well, my scores are typically all over the charts...low or high...a dichotomy within themselves. I'm thankful for the three comments including the DNMC (lol)...and happy I'm above my average.

What an esoteric challenge! I'm looking at the quality of the photo and if it has any semblance of "meeting the challenge" in my eyes, I'm voting accordingly. I'm finding mostly "opposites" or "oxymorons" which really aren't dichotomies, but.......
I didn't enter my shot. Figured it'd get slammed.

LoL..Good luck with that. It's possible your six year old is less Flighty than my 6 yr. old but She had her Ipod for all of two days. It's been lost ever since.... Now she still uses my Ipod. |

...and while my score is still plummeting let me say this: there are many fabulous ideas in this one, but the processing is so disappointing on the vast majority of submissions.. overall the challenge has the feel of a Minimal Editing challenge. But as my score says - whatdoIknow hey? Seriously thought mine was a 6 in this one (at least) - but voters are angry, tough or I lost the plot in this one....
Trying very hard to not just hit the 5 button.... Very many shoehorns - very pretty pictures that are riding on their titles. The way I'm getting through this is to avoid reading the title as the image loads. I try to see the dichotomy in the image. If I see it, it gets above a 5. If I don't see it and have to read the title for an explanation it gets below a 5....
