Is there a raw thumbnail viewer for windows vista? just curious. thank you so much

i found it...i looked for a week,and then searched one more time and found a codec on canon's website for my body and it works like a charm now

I've been waiting for Microsoft to update the RAW thumbnail viewer for XP. It still doesn't support the 30D! Perhaps you can point us to the link that you found the codecs at? Cheers!

| For those who use Nikon, simply install the latest NEF codec. |

| all i did was click on a sony raw and it went and fetched the codec and worked straight away! (home premium) |

That'll work for the NEF codec too, if not already installed, and you simply open Windows Picture Gallery. But if you've got an old version of the codec, thumbnails won't work. Uninstall it and go download the new one.

I'm missing it, too, now.
If they never caught up with the 30D, how long will it be before the 40D RAWs will work?

| The Canon website has Vista codecs for 20D and 30D. Didn't see anything for the 40D but maybe soon... |
