MUST read
I laughed 'til I cried on the train and people almost started laughing with me even though they had no idea what I was laughing at. Great read. |

We're ready for the posthumous list of "Dichotomy" ideas. Aren't we? |

I could use some since I don't have any ideas of my own.

I'm in Land for this week.
As for the 4th--I don't think I'm doing anything. Probably watching neighborhood fireworks from my window or deck.

Posthumous ideas for dichotomy:
A dog licking a cat.
A car jumping over a train.
An axe tree.
A light meter in a pitch black room.
An underwater welder.
A man eating a steak loaded with estrogen.
Joan of Arc winning the Battle of Orleans.
A mouse stealing cat food.
A pill that makes you not need pills.
An old woman buying cough syrup for her adolescent grandson.
A dead murderer.
A window.
A man laughing at his own unfunny joke.
An Irish wake.
The Tarantella. |

Medication...yes please!
Thanks guys, apparently I only suck at actually taking photographs, pixel trashing a sucky photo into something else I can do better.
Hmmm perhaps I should change my name to pixel_trash

That must be some incredible picture. I can't wait to see which one it is. Remember, you must breath now and then. |

These two really made me laugh. I actually had a dog (a toy poodle) when I was young who adopted a stray kitten. She used to wash that poor kitten to death.
My grandmother has a tiny dog. She always keeps the dry food bowl full. Every morning the bowl was empty and there was no way the little dog was eating it all. Apparently she had mice in her basement who were coming up through the hole that the gas line ran through to the stove and stealing it all every night. The thing is, they didn't take it back to the basement, they were storing it in the broiler at the bottom of the oven. She never uses the broiler. Well, one night she decided that she wanted a steak broiled, we opened the drawer to the broiler and it was loaded full of dog food pellets. After some searching through the house we also discovered a little used desk drawer also full of dog food pellets. Needless to say, an exterminator was called right away. LOL! |

I'm just hanging on to awakeness long enough to post my Burst of Color. I think y'all will get a kick out of it, but the voters at large didn't.

Well.....here it is.....I thought it was a hoot, but you know how it can be....
If you take an index card or something, and block her out, the scene is fairly plain. I thought that this shot fit the challenge to a T with a little twist of humor. Obviously, I was mistaken!

Just got back from a really bad fireworks show.. The fireworks were launched over Grant Park instead of Navy Pier, and not high enough to clear the nearby buildings. Bah! I'll have to take my son to another fireworks show later this summer.

Do fireworks launch early in Chicago? Too bad about that though. |

There's a show in the 3rd and the 4th, but it's supposed to rain tomorrow night. Luckily for me there's shows on Wednesday and Saturdays until Labor Day.

Hello and good health to all team suck members.
Just touching base to say hello, still undergoing tests, I am feeling better within and will know more after Friday.
Have been keeping an Eye on things and who's who, and what's what, great to see Melethia up in the ribbons.
The Dichotomy challenge is going to be an interesting one as there does not seem to be a lot of knowledge on the subject photographic wise, so the voting will be even more interesting.
Cheers Brian.
