I got all panicky last night. I got locked out of my myspace account for 3 hours. Some sort of glitch that my account was suspected of have been phished and the password change page was broken :-(

wait, you are my age...surely you can't say that! granted the one genre of pop eighties was fluffy, feel good music (i still love big country and tears for fears), but what about the huge goth and punk genres? pure moody angst...i mean, morrissey was the most unhappy person on the planet! but who can forget the cure, dead can dance, sisters of mercy, the pixies, iggy pop, christian death, the cocteau twins, husker du, black flag, the misfits...and that doesn't even begin to encompass the eighties metal movement. the eighties hold some of the greatest songs of our time, but across several different genres.

that having been said, i love myspace. it's a great way to stay in touch with friends across the miles, or to crack on the friend you went out with the night before for doing something brilliantly dumb. ;) and yes, there are some idiots on there i suppose, but i ignore them online just as i do in 3D life. :)

80's music is by far the best music ever. Period. No other music makes you feel as happy as 80's music. No mood, no angst just pure happy :)

So long as you're not one of those people... why do you care what they do? Granted, there are some weirdos on there but a great deal of the people I talk to on a regular basis are people I actually WANT to get to know, stay in touch with, or reconnect to. Its a way of marketing yourself, networking, reconnecting with people you've lost touch with and it is better than Match.com/E-Harmony at hooking people up... granted its typically for sexual purposes but meaningful relationships can come from there as well.

Clearly too old to have a MySpace page. Yep, a 99 year old idiot. ;-)

Just kidding, of course. Only you and your mother know for sure if you're an idiot.

But if MySpace were a person, it would definitely be an idiot! :P
